All catered food is provided cold, with reheating instructions included if needed. If your event requires food to be hot upon arrival, this service may be available for an additional fee and is subject to the store's capability to handle such requests.
Most of our catering items require a 48-hour notice. For specialty items and custom cakes, we may require up to 3 or 5 days' notice. Ordering further in advance is always helpful and appreciated to ensure we can best accommodate your request.
Your order will be charged at 6am the day before your scheduled delivery or pickup. Please request any cancellations a minimum of 48 hours in advance. For any changes or to discuss a cancellation, please contact us as soon as possible.

Our delivery service is handled by a third-party courier. Delivery rates are based on the zip code's distance from the store where you placed your order. Rates begin at $25 for local delivery. To ensure the best pricing, we recommend choosing the Straub's store location closest to your delivery destination. You do not need to be home to receive delivery orders if the courier determines the area is safe to leave the package. For secured buildings, please inform security to expect the delivery.
For delivery orders, please note that arrival times are approximate. Delivery windows are typically provided in 1.5-hour increments. If you require your order by a specific time, we strongly recommend choosing our in-store pickup option to ensure timeliness. We appreciate your understanding

Yes! The best way to accomplish this is to create an account before checking out. Then during checkout, please enter the recipient's information in Contact Name and Address fields. On the following screen, the "Deliver to" Address should have your recipient's name and address, and the "Invoice to" information should be your information.
No. Our local delivery service will leave packages for you if they determine the surrounding area to be safe. If you live in a secured building, they may have an issue with the front door. You could tell building security to expect them should you step out.
General rule of thumb is 4oz of protein per person.
Mini sandwiches: 2 per person. Each sandwich is 2oz of protein.
Regular sandwiches: 1 per person, based on 4oz protein
Appetizers: 2 per person
Tossed salad: 5 people to a pound as a side on buffet, 2 to a pound as part of dinner.
Cheese: 2oz per person
Pasta: 8-12oz per person
Meat salads: 4oz per person (visual description: one full ice cream scoop per person).
Protein for dollar rolls: 2-3oz per sandwich. 1lb makes 8 mini sandwiches.
